Calisthenics is a form of exercise that uses one’s body weight to build muscle, lose fat and to strengthen one’s self. The rhythmical movements that are involved in calisthenics not only increase body strength but as well as flexibility and body movements through forms of resistance with one’s own body weight.

Clearly calisthenics goes way back. Man has always been practicing the art known as calisthenics; in fact, if they didn’t the human species would no longer exist. The great Spartans of ancient Greece and the fierce Shaolin monks of China made it a habit to push their bodies to the limit, and with their outstanding performances of strength, they imprinted their names in human history.

Calisthenics have been used and improved throughout the years and are now being used in the military to condition, and strengthen the best soldiers. If the government depends on this form of exercise to train troops for the protection of the country, it must be good. Don’t you agree?

Being able to control your body and use it to its full potential is what calisthenics does for you and you don’t need to use fancy or expensive equipment to do so.
