Royal Handicrafts is a family-run company born out of a passion for change. Founded by K.P. in 2004, the inspiration came by the beautiful fabrics, textiles and artifacts while the determination stemmed from the impoverished state of the Nepalese women and men who were displaced by the Nepalese Civil War.

A year later, K.P. partnered with his spouse, son and daughter to make their vision for clothes that brought on impactful change, a reality—A family owned & operated reality.

Our mission as a brand is to bring you Apparel, Accessories, Jewelry, and Bags that you absolutely love & know that they are made with the highest ethical principles from A to Z.

Who Makes Your Products, Where is it Made?

Most of our products are made in our Nepal. There, we employ amazingly talented and fiercely-working women who were widowed & displaced by the Civil War. Our designs come from collaborations with local artisans and there is nothing better for us than helping this community support their families. Rest are made in Thailand where we work with local artisans supporting their skills and arts.

Simply put, Our Responsibility is To Make an Ethical Difference & Set an Example

Plus, everything is still family-owned & operated which keeps us still very involved in the whole process.

From sourcing, to producing, to shipping – we are there, hands-on, and we would not have it any other way as that is the key difference in generic brands, and a brand you can passionately get behind.

Fair Trade Certified Factories

Most of our products are made in Fair Trade Certified factories and we are doing our best to make this the norm. This ensures fair wages, humane working & decent living conditions to all our workers.

Zero Waste Green Initiative

In our production process we use scrap fabrics and utilize them to create new apparel & accessories—A process known as up-cycling. Furthermore, we work & partner with local recycling companies to up or down-cycle leftover fabrics.

Ethically Sourced

We make a point by using Tencel-verified fabrics, Fair Trade Organic Cotton, Linen and recycled synthetic fabrics that have low environmental impact when being recycled. What’s more, we source fair-trade fabrics that can be traced to farm-levels.
