John Adorney began his music studies with a focus on cello at the University of Connecticut, ultimately earning a BA in Music and Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, in 1985. In 1991, he obtained his music therapy certification from California State University, Long Beach, where he later served as an Assistant Professor, teaching Introduction to Music Therapy. In the field of music education, he holds a Level 2 certification in the Orff-Schulwerk method, and has taught music both privately and within school programs since 1976. He is also well-versed in Rudolf Steiner’s view of child development and has applied it in teaching music at Waldorf schools in Denver and Los Angeles.
